Rep. Doris Matsui, who represents most of Sacramento and Elk Grove in Congress, is fully endorsing the killing of mothers and children in Gaza by voting last month to give Israel another $26 billion to continue its ethnic cleansing of Gaza. In the past year, Matsui took almost $12,000 from AIPAC, the Israeli lobby, in addition to significant corporate donations.

1. Right now, email Rep. Doris Matsui a Mothers Day Message insisting that she call for immeidate stopping of all weapons to Israel, a permanent ceasefire, and adequate humanitarian aid for Gaza.
2. Attend the May 12, 2024, 1-3pm Mothers’ Day protest in front of her Land Park property at the corner of 13th Ave and 19th street. Brings signs demanding she stop supporting genocide.
Background
Mother’s Day originated as a call for peace from anti-war activist Julia Ward Howe, who asked women to come together to end war. Her mother’s day proclamation includes:
“From the bosom of the devastated earth a voice goes up with our own. It says, ‘Disarm, disarm! The sword is not the balance of justice.’ Blood does not wipe out dishonor nor violence indicate possession.”
Disturbingly, on this Mother’s Day, May 12, 2024, U.S. funding and weapons are being used by Israel to kill Palestinian mothers, children, and other civilians in Gaza.
