Two-faced Matsui
Matsui said when she skipped Netanyahu’s 7-24-24 address to Congress, that she “spent time with the loved ones of people taken by Hamas.” She did not mention the loved ones of the tens of thousands of Palestinians killed by Israel, instead noted that she had “significant disagreements with the [Israeli] government has conducted the war.”
Matsui has claimed that she supports a ceasefire and that the U.S. needs to “addresses the devastating humanitarian crisis for the Palestinian people.” At the same time, she continues to vote for and support the U.S. providing weapons and funding to Israel for its genocide against the Palestinian people and refuses to meet with her constituents who oppose U.S. support for Israel’s genocide.
Matsui also claims she wants humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza, but voted to cut off aid to UNWRA, the United Nations agency that has been providing aid to Gaza refugees.
